Testimonials

We wanted to say thank you again as well as offer a testimonial for your wonderful service and care.

On Saturday June 13th 2020, we had to put our baby Gracie down. As hard as it was, Marie came and was the much needed calm and support we needed at the time. She found time out of her packed day to come to our house - on such short notice as well.

Marie is so sweet and was very patient with us as we said our goodbyes. She didn’t hesitate to offer us a clay pawprint and fur clipping as a keepsake afterward either.

Then, to my surprise, today, June 17th, we get a card in the mail from her expressing her condolences again and offering additional supportive words.

I am very thankful we chose Marie to put our baby to rest. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The Torres Family, Pembroke Pines

Dear Marie,

We cannot thank you enough for the peace calm, professionalism and dignity you brought to our home last week to say goodbye to Ebony. Knowing she was comfortable in the very spot she loved the most has helped all of us so very much. We never really realized what a warrior she was until we shared all of her many battles with you. After so many years, it didn’t seem so remarkable – it was just who she was. But she’d really been through so much and always remained gentle and happy. I’m sure it’s been said before and will be said again, but you’re an absolute angel on earth. We are so enormously grateful to have been able to contact you and that you were able to come so quickly. Thank you for all you do. We won’t ever forget what a help and comfort you were on such a sad day.

All the very best to you,

Allison and Family – Boca Raton

Dear Marie,

Roxana was my first dog ever and we were instant companions for eleven years – that is why this was so painful. She really did raise my kids and do everything else with me. It was REALLY important to me for you to be there because I don’t trust anyone else. I appreciate how professional you always are and you are such an inspiration to me as a professional. Sincerely,

Jenny Spinner, Pembroke Pines

Dr. McInerney,

Where do I even begin? Letting go of a member of your family is one of the hardest moments ever and the thought of anyone or anything making it even a little bit easier seems impossible, but somehow you managed to do that. With Griffin being moved around so much in his life, it was so important to us that he was able to go peacefully and comfortably in his final home and we are so beyond grateful we found you. You’re so genuinely kind and caring and truly like and angel for Griffin. I cannot imagine how tough your job must be but please know how appreciative we are that you do what you do so our loved ones are able to be safe can comfortable in their homes. You made the whole process so much easier and we are forever thankful. You’re truly and amazing person.

Jackie, Andrew and Griffin Dampier, Fort Lauderdale

Thank you again so much for everything! You were wonderful and very compassionate and your method was better than any other time I have had to go through this. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Doug Candler, Wilton Manors

Hi Marie,

You are so high on my list of the most beautiful angels I have ever met. I will always remember your beautiful words and eyes (since this craziness with COVID doesn’t allow us to see a face). There are so few people who can share sorrow and are able to comfort a truly grieving soul without the Grace of God. Thank you for helping my little golden soul pass painlessly across the bridge. I know so many people who love their pets, but I would not be alive today if it wasn’t for Elvy. He was a gift from God. You are truly a gift. Please be safe in your travels. My prayers are with you always.

Heidi Anderson, Hollywood

Hello Dr. McInerney,

Many thanks for the compassionate experience you created yesterday. I am so grateful for your quiet and loving presence, your care of my beloved kitty, the special monogrammed pawprint and for the beautiful way you swaddled Lance so I could see his majestic face and the reassurance that you would take good care of him. You and your sister came and left like angels and I am so deeply grateful for you.

Bettina Moench, Fort Lauderdale

Good Afternoon Dr. McInerney,

My family just really wanted to thank you for how amazing you guys were in such a difficult situation. We can’t thank you enough for your input, experiences, knowledge and how the whole process was handled. Although extremely difficult, you guys really gave us perspective, hope and peace. Can’t thank you enough and have a great day!

Mike and Ghish Owens, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

Hi Doctor,

I just would like to thank you again for the way you handled Scooby’s last minutes. The care, compassion, love and dignity you’ve shown from the first minute I talked to you on the phone until you took Scooby away is unparalleled. It was one of the most difficult, painful things I’ve ever had to do in my life, but thankfully you make it bearable and I’ll always be grateful for that. The memory of Scooby passing on so peacefully is making grieving so much easier. I miss Scooby tremendously, but your compassion and professionalism helped and is still helping me with the grieving process. I told everyone and I will keep telling everyone that in-home euthanasia for pets is the best way to go.

Gabriella Majoros, Davie

Thank you for the card and the kind words and feelings it conveyed. And thank you for making the hard but necessary process of giving relief to my little buddy a little easier. You are very good at what you do and your empathy is a bright spot in a dim world these days.

Ted Maclain, Davie

Hi Marie,

Thank you from the very bottom of my heart for your peace and guidance through Bernie’s last days. My family is at such a good place with our decision and I honestly couldn’t have imagined feeling the way I do right now, and I believe you played a huge role in the closure of saying good-bye to our beloved Bernie. I thought that I was going to feel a huge bit of sadness and regret, and there is no regret whatsoever. A little bit of sadness which is expected, but I can easily say it was the right thing for us to have done, and I just want to thank you again for offering your services. It was exactly like I hoped it would be, so, thank you.

Jen Bergman, Fort Lauderdale

Dear Dr. Mac,

We can’t express how thankful we are that you came across our path. We have no words to thank you for your care and kindness. The moment you walked into our home, you gave us so much comfort and your presence helped us to finally understand that it was the right time. Your words of kindness, your good spirit and your compassion made a remarkable difference at such a sad moment. You were an angel sent to our home to help our Tabata cross the rainbow.

Taby was a special dog who had rough young years. We took her into our home and our lives and she gave us so much love, making it hard to let her go. We wanted her to leave with the love and care she deserved and we wanted to make her last moment a very peaceful one. We wanted her to understand that our love for her was not stopping with her last heartbeat, but was getting stronger as her breathing was slowing down.

You never rushed her – or us. You let me hold her in my arms, listen to her snoozing, hug her hard and when she was finally gone, you wrapped her in a blanket so beautifully, like a baby, and she had peace.

We miss her deeply but also feel peace and that was only because of you and the way you treated our baby. God bless your beautiful soul always!

Brian and Gigi Demarais, Fort Lauderdale

Dr. Marie McInerney is an Angel on Earth. My little furry soulmate Nina, at 17 years old looked at me one morning and I knew it was time. I had prayed that she would go on her own in her sleep, but her survival instincts were strong and she needed my help. I went online hoping to find a vet that would come to our house and Dr. Marie answered my call. As soon as I heard her voice I knew she would be the one to assist us. From the moment Dr. Marie arrived, there was a profound calmness. I told her about my life with Nina and how it was hard to imagine life without her. Nothing was rushed. Nina, my sweet Cocker Spaniel fell asleep for the last time, peacefully in my arms. A few days later I received a beautiful hand written card from Dr. Marie. The next day another Angel delivered Nina’s ashes in a beautiful box with her name embossed on a brass plate. There was so much compassion and thoughtfulness that I so appreciated at a very sensitive time. Thank you with love, Barbara and Nina.

Barbara Fleming, Pompano Beach

To the Mac Sisters that turned my worst nightmare into something compassionate and dignified.  After close to 18 years with your pet, you just don't know when to let go. Having Doc Marie assure me was the most important factor.  Her knowledge is pinnacle at such a time. It was a perfect spring day and the perfect time to say goodbye. The service was more than I could ever ask for.  I hope she posts this so others will understand how much easier she and her sister made the transition. Sure I'm feeling it, but just that much less because of two understanding gentle human beings.  Thank you both from the bottom of my heart.

Evan Anthony, Lazy Lake Florida

Dear Dr. McInerney, I am eternally grateful to you for coming to my home. My Kitty is now in Heaven where we will someday be reunited. I will treasure the clay paw print you made of Nina too. Your empathy, compassion, patience, thoughtfulness, knowledge & professionalism made all the difference in the world. I'm so blessed that I met someone of your caliber. Peace and love,

Tory Maher, Fort Lauderdale

Dear Dr. Marie,

My experience with you has touched my heart. You entered my home at a time when I needed you most. My feelings of anxiety and sadness suddenly seemed to pass. I realized I had made the right decision. Your energy and demeanor are otherworldly. I could not have asked for a better experience. My best friend is no longer with us in this realm, but my heart is happy knowing that he crossed over with such love!!

Thank you from the bottom of my soul.

With love, Emily Thomas, Fort Lauderdale

Dear Dr. McInerney,

I just wanted to thank you again, Marie, for making Gracie's passing a peaceful and comforting experience - especially considering the difficult circumstance (as I am sure it is for everyone involved when that inevitable time comes of trying to find peace in letting go of their beloved and cherished pets).  I knew from the moment we spoke on the phone that you had a gentle aura and a wonderful energy about you.

I am so thankful that my Gracie was able to pass on in the comfort of her own home with not only Perry and myself by her side, but also with you who made it possible for Gracie's transition to be a beautiful one. We really appreciate it!

Omar Boyd, Miami

Marie,

You and your sister made a very sad day as bearable as possible. This was the first time my dog or cat peacefully transitioned without feeling a needle stick or discomfort. In their last moments nothing is more important than peace and comfort. I am so grateful to you. You really made such a difference in the whole transition process. I only wish I had found you sooner.

Stacy Geddis, Fort Lauderdale

Thank you. We appreciate how you helped us to say goodbye to our beloved Turkey with a level of love and respect that we didn’t know was available to us. You let Turkey leave as she lived – majestically.

Pascal and Dani Fleury, Boca Raton

Dear Marie,

Yesterday you proved that Angels do exist and that they don’t need to have wings and come from heaven. Thank you for taking such good care of our dearest Phoebe. Because of your empathy and kindness in helping Phoebe transition, we both feels blessed our paths crossed. You will always be our angel. Thank you.

Rick and Sandra Chang, Davie

Dear Dr. Mac:

Bill and I just want to express our appreciation for the gentle and dignified way you enabled our good bye to Bounty. You are top shelf in your professionalism, authenticity, and sensitivity. Without judgment or bias, you helped us arrive at a decision that we've been struggling with for several weeks. You are a psychologist as well as a vet!!! Our only regret is that we didn't know you when we had to put our dogs from years past down. Thank you for enabling and sharing our farewell to our beloved Bounty.

Dr. Abbe and Bill Hurwitz, Kendall

Hi Marie,

You are truly remarkable and one of the very few vets I met throughout my life who really cares about the animals. You went out of your way to help me over the phone. I don’t know anybody else who would have extended this kindness. I am so glad I met you. Thank you so much for the all your help in difficult times.

Kela H, (Art-by-Kela), Hollywood

My Dearest Marie,

Just wanted you to know that you and your sister turned a horrific situation into a celebration of Dodie’s life. Your kindness and beautiful spirits shone through to help us cope. We are taking this better than we ever thought we could thanks to you!! With all our love, God bless you for the beautiful service you provide.

Felix and Judy Denastasio, Hallandale

Hi Marie.

First of all, I just want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything that you have done to make this process as gentle as possible. I am sorry that it has taken me so long to reach out. As you might expect, the days and week following Lucy’s passing were extremely difficult for us, and just getting back to “normal life” has been a struggle. It feels so empty and so wrong. It will take some more time. Luckily we have our wonderful girls to keep our world turning and our sun shining. We will be forever grateful to you, and will recommend your services to anyone who may be in need. I can’t recommend you enough. Thank you for your compassion and your strength and kindness to a family in need of just that.

Christi and Michael Mejia, Coral Springs

Thank you so much for all you did for Fat Boy and me on Sunday. You were very caring and soothing. Hard situation but knowing you were taking such great care of him made it bearable. It was warm and loving and comfortable. I didn’t have to pick him up and put him in the car and carry him to the animal hospital and wait in a cold room. He felt your kindness and I thank you for that. Thank you again.

Dona Debuono, Tamarac

Dear Marie,

I just wanted to thank you again for making my experience as painless as possible when I had to put my cat Paris to sleep. It was one of the worst days of my life and I was a nervous wreck. You compassion, empathy and gentle nature was evident from my first contact with you and was greatly appreciated. It helped a great deal to know that Paris was in such capable hands. I have shared my experience with you with all of my friends and family and will continue to do so.

Warren Roller, Fort Lauderdale

Dear Marie. We feel such inner peace that God answered my daughter’s prayer and put you in our path. It was a wonderful blessing for us and for our beloved Sadie!! With your sweet nature and professionalism, you made it possible for our Sadie to rest peacefully. It’s so very difficult for us to see her looking at us wither loving eyes. We miss her incredibly!! But we know she is thanking us from her new home in heaven. It was such a pleasure to have met you! May God shower you with blessings. Thanks a million form the bottom of our hearts!!

Sadie, Judy, Rolando and Gisela Ramsey, Miami

Good Morning Dr. Mac, this is Hugo. I hope you’re having a wonderful day. Thank you for helping me and Leno say our last goodbyes in a loving and peaceful way. You and your sister both exude a whole lot of love and an amazing light that soothes our hearts and souls in a moment when we need it the most I’ll have the two of you in my heart forever. Thank you so much!

Hugo Martorelli, Hollywood

Please let me tell you how wonderful you are because clearly you came highly recommended for a reason. Thank you for being so kind, patient, caring and so compassionate. You made my son feel so much better. We all need to love the jobs we choose to do and I see that you do love what you do. We cried for hours and then my son said “Mom we did the right thing, Midnight is at peace now.” You made Midnight and my son’s last day together so special he will never forget you. Thank you so much and God bless you and all you do. It was an amazing experience for the family and that, of course, includes Midnight – he was my baby as well.

Ellen Schutz, Coral Springs

Dear Marie,

Thank you for making Seamus’ final moments as comfortable and peaceful as they could possibly be. Your professionalism, kindness and compassion were immensely appreciated. You made the stressful and painful experience of saying goodbye to our beloved “Moose” a little easier, and for that we are truly grateful. With gratitude,

Lauren Hall, Miami

Dr. McInerney,

I’m not sure you get enough thank you cards, but you should! Your kind words after Quinn was gone were so comforting and gave Daniel and I some peace. I am so thankful that we found you to help us give Quinn a peaceful and compassionate end. She holds such a special place in our family and you treated her with such kindness. You are a good person and it shows in your work and caring for people and animals that come to need you. Thank you again for your care, compassion, professionalism and love you shared with our family.

Ashley, Homestead

Dear Marie,

Julio, Nicole and I do not have the words to express our profound gratitude for helping our sweet Chloe set her spirit free. Although this time has been very difficult for us, you gave us the gift of a peaceful passing for her. You and your sister are truly angels!

Thank you again, Ever grateful.

Lourdes, Julio and Nicole Valdes, Doral

Dearest Dr. Marie McInerney, Thank you so much for your immense kindness, in what was clearly a very difficult time for me. Your warmth and compassion buffered the incredible pain and terrible loss of my dearest friend and companion of so many, many years. How can I thank you? There are not too many who would undertake such and enormous responsibility but you handle this difficult job with such grace and love. Thank for your invaluable service. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Edith Cooper, Dania Beach

Good morning Marie,

We got your card in the mail and I wanted to express my thoughts and appreciation on the whole experience.

Michael and I have had to put a couple pets to sleep in the past. It seems each time was far too dramatic and emotionally charged. The emergency rush to the vets and that horrible drive back home afterwards. Then there was the fast hurried experience at the vet’s office in such a cold and sterile environment.

But on Monday we were able to be in a surrounding that not only comforted us but Benjamin as well. We were able to slow down the process to allow him to slowly drift away. Your comforting persona and supportive words helped us as well. I could learn from Benjamin to take more things in stride and appreciate the simple things like a treat and naps. He was my calming presence and we were so fortunate to have him by our side all those years. Thank you again,

Tim Thomas, Greenacres

Marie,

Words cannot express our gratitude for the gentleness, compassion, love and respect you showed our Tyler. He fought his cancer battle like a little trooper, but at the end, we knew that the only humane decision we could make for him was to put him to rest in the comfort of his home. For almost 14 years he brought such joy to our family that home is where we wanted him to take his last breath. You allowed us to carry his frail body and comfort him throughout the process. He felt no pain and left us quietly and with dignity. Thank you for the ministry you provide to those in need. Your profession is a testament of the person you are and your personality enhances the practice you are so passionate about. God bless!

The Zilio Family, Miami Springs

Dear Hi Marie, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for making the process of saying goodbye to our beloved Rocky and Rambo so much easier than we thought it would be… Any vet can give a dog a shot and say sorry for your loss, but what you do Marie is SO SO much more than that. It’s hard to explain or to make it sound even remotely close to what you actually did for us, because of your words and demeanor you literally made this process somehow angelic, like you have this angel quality about you. You made sure that you did exactly what we wanted for them both, held them in our arms until their last breath…You have a gift Marie that I am certain I would recommend you to anyone I know. I know it is not about money with you - I can clearly see that but you are worth every penny and more!! Thank you for everything you did for us!!!

Liz Cannan, Pembroke Pines

There are no words to express how grateful I am. It’s humbling that a complete stranger could have such an enormous impact on my quality-of-life for the rest of my life. I will always look back on this as the most beautiful parting that one could hope for. Gilli was the love of my life. There’s a special place in the afterlife (if there is one) for people like you. May you be richly rewarded with whatever you seek in this life and the next. I couldn’t do what you do. You are an incredibly strong person and the world is a better place for you having been here.

Robin Anderson, Plantation

Dear Marie

Gator was by my side for ten wonderful years. His illness came unexpectedly and I selfishly wanted more time. My mourning continues, but what I really wanted you to know is that what you do is so very noble and did not go unnoticed. When Gator met you on Valentine’s Day he was weak and in pain, but he saw you and wagged his tail! You were our “Saint Francis”. You bring comfort and peace not only to our beloved pets, but also to owners.

Friends and family have asked about his passing at home. He did not have to endure an uncomfortable car ride or experience the anxiety he feels at the vet. He had the security and familiarity of his home on his spot on the couch. We might cry when looking at his spot, but only because it was his favorite place and we remember happy times. It was where he lived – not where he died. You allowed us to ease his pain and we know the day will come again with other pets and, if in our control, they will cross over in their safe and comfortable spot “at home”. You drive many miles to many homes and at all hours. You ease the pain of many animals as well as their humans. With my sincerest thanks.

Sarah Hazen and Mary Mosley, Pembroke Pines

Dr. McInerney, I’m struggling to even find words to express how glad I am that you were recommended to me. Losing my Rogue has been every bit as awful as I knew it would be but I was tremendously comforted by the care you took with her - and with me and my family. You have a very special gift to be able to make such a connection with someone you’ve never met before. Your compassion and empathy are apparent and I appreciate it more than I can articulate here. Thank you again!

Becky Bartkowicz, Sunrise

Thank you so much for the card and for helping us through a very difficult time with our Gabby. I still cannot believe that she's not physically here with us but she'll be forever in our hearts and now you have a place in there too. God has blessed you with amazing Compassion and thank you for making her paw print for us 💓

Patti Davis, Margate

Dr.McInerney!

You are so kind and caring I'm very happy that you were the one to have helped me with this difficult situation. You will be highly recommended. I hope to never have to do business with you again, but if the situation arises that I need the type of services you offer, you will be the only one to help me and my family! Thank you very much. Everything you did was, and will always be, greatly appreciated. You helped my best friend and I will never forget it! Thank you sooooo much. You did Remy and I a huge service. I feel much better now that he isn't suffering. Thanks again

Zak Frost, Homestead

I just want to thank you again for everything you did to help Shayna and Snuggles on Sunday. Your compassion is immeasurable; you are truly an angel with a gift.

Debra Demry, Coral Springs

Hi Dr.

You came over last Thursday to help us say good-bye to our Princess. We received your card today and we were truly left speechless. You turned a very difficult situation in our lives into a peaceful and memorable moment. Your patience, thoughtfulness, sympathy and kindness blew us all away. I had been meaning to thank you but just got busy with life. Your card was truly touching and showed how much you care. Although we miss our Princess dearly, we know she is in a better place. Thank you again for everything. God bless you and the work that you do.

Eric Arguelles, Miami

Dr. Marie,

I thank God for you and what you do. It is incredible. Hopefully I won't have to use you soon - but you know you are the only one that I will call to send my babies to the rainbow.

Marta Kane, Homestead

We now have a little bit of solace. I miss her so very much. You made it so much easier with your wonderful spirit. I am so grateful that God brought you to us. Thanks for taking care of our little baby Meredith.

Jonathan Desouza, Wilton Manors

Your act of love has touched us greatly. Your presence at Sophie's final moments and the love we have for her have certainly affected our saddened hearts in a positive, peaceful and healing way.

These days without her are certainly beyond difficult. But in life you must pull the sunshine out of the darkest days ... Or at the very least try your hardest to find that sunny spot !! And you shined some light on all us during a very difficult time and allowed her the passing she so deserved! You surely did make the process easier, more than easy – peaceful. And your presence and energy reassured us enormously ... And that is what we will always be so grateful for. Thank you again for your kindness and replying to my texts. Take care, we wish you nothing but the best!!

Christine Betancourt, Miami

Dr. Mac,

We cannot express how grateful we are to you for making that experience so special for Loochi and my sisters. We know what you do is so tough, but please know you make such a difference - not only for the pets but for the families too. We wish you all the happiness in the world and hope you continue to be an amazing person spreading peace.

Taisha, Miami

I want to thank you again for helping Jake and for being so kind and loving - and for making such a horrible moment so peaceful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I didn’t even know someone so kind even existed.

Simone Abud, Miami Springs

Marie – there are no words to express our gratitude for your guidance and compassion. Thank you so much for coming so quickly. We know Milo is home now and at peace. God bless you for the work you do and your kind and gentle wisdom.

Mark and Brenda Shaughnessy, Parkland

Hi Dr McInerney. Carol and I want to thank you for your compassionate care of Houston yesterday as he made his journey. He had peace and dignity thanks to you. You gave us such a beautiful gift with the service you provide in that he was able to pass in the security of his own home without experiencing any fear and we were able to hold him and love him in his final minutes - just like we had done throughout his life. Your kindness of making his paw print for us is a kindness beyond words and we will treasure it forever. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Beatriz Diaz and Carol Powers, Miami

Hi Dr. Marie. I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate you and your service. We really don't know what we would have done without you. The past week has definitely been difficult, but it's been far easier knowing what we did was for the best, and that we had such a kind and compassionate doctor at our side. You not only took care of our pup, but you took care of us as well! Thank you for all you've done!

Chad Hodge and Liliana Torres, Pembroke Pines

Dear Marie

We are so very thankful for your genuine compassionate care for our dear Scoobie's last few minutes and for our hearts as well. You made a very difficult time as easy as it could possibly be. If I didn't know better I would think you were an angel of the Lord. That's how much you ministered to our hearts. Again thank you. God bless you abundantly!

Marian Schilling, Tamarac

Dear Dr. McInerney, I want to express my deepest and sincerest thanks to you for your presence and your services with Bruno the other night. You made this very difficult and painful situation as gentle and kind as I could have imagined. Thank you for your kind, steady energy, and your patient support for both Bruno and I. I've lost other pets, but never with the beauty and soft energy that you helped us create for Bruno. He deserved nothing less. I just spent the weekend with some really close friends in Knoxville, one of whom has a PhD in death and dying and had helped me decide when to call someone like you in. They asked about my loss of Bruno. I recounted his passing to them and was honestly able to say that he had the best possible experience, thanks to your kindness and professionalism.

Every person who ever met Bruno fell in love with him and I miss his huge presence and unflagging happiness more than I could have imagined. But I am certain that we couldn't have done a better job in helping him leave his body. As you said, we don't know what happens when any of us pass, but I'd like to think that Bruno's spirit is now free to run and play, now that his struggle to breathe and to move has ended. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Terry Demeo, Coconut Grove

Hi. I just wanted to thank you for the lovely card you sent to me. Obviously I burst into tears, but I am forever grateful that I was able to find you and give my sweet baby the goodbye she deserved. I could not have imagined a more serene way for her to go, and you were obviously a huge part of that. For that I am in your debt. For months and months I had dreaded the thought of when her time came, to have to take her to the vet, knowing how it terrified her. The images I have in my mind, and in my heart, although painful, bring me peace as I know I did what I had to allow her to leave us in peace. Thank you again and bless you for being such a wonderful, caring person to our fur babies who are everything in the world to us!

Karin Kruger, Miami

Dr. Mac,

Firstly, I can't thank you enough for everything you did for our dear Breña. It's been a few days now and obviously it's an adjustment. We received your card and my family thanks you very much. Not because she was our pet but so many have reached out and it's been nicely overwhelming.

Many of our friends and family have asked us about our experience. As hard as it is to let them go, we sing your name letting them know that you are the best. Without a doubt you made the process easier for all of us.

Thank you so much.

Armando and the Portillo Family, Kendall

I just wanted to thank you again for your compassion, and for allowing Zoro to pass pain-free to the other side. Your bedside manner is fabulous with pets and people, and I will never forget you.

Kathy McGraw-Hill, North Lauderdale

Dear Dr. McInerney:

As I begin to adjust to my 'new normal' of life without my beloved furry companion of the last eighteen years, I wanted to thank you for helping Tina's last moments be so peaceful and dignified. Your demeanor was so kind and comforting, that both Tina and I were able to find solace during such a difficult transition.

You have a rare gift of empathy and compassion - thank you for sharing it with us. I know that Tina's life was better for having you in it, even for that last hour. With heartfelt gratitude,

Carolina Ragolta, Coral Gables

Dr. Marie,

Thank you for your thoughtful card & kind words! You really are a compassionate home vet and so much more. Because of your support I have been able to move on truly believing that I did the right thing for Trixie at the right TIME to spare her more pain and discomfort. You are awesome!

Forever grateful,

Diana del Valle, Palmetto Bay

Marie,

We wanted to write and thank you for making a big difference during a very painful moment in our lives. You helped make saying goodbye to our canine child easier. Because of your tenderhearted gesture, I was able to feel physically and spiritually connected to Oliver as I cradled him in my arms and listened to his little heart take its last beat and his little lungs take their last breath. It was one of the most heartrending, beautiful, transcendent moments of my life. Your kind gesture helped bring me some closure. Thank you. May you and yours receive many blessings.

Paulette and Norberto Liriano, Coral Gables

Dr. McInerney,

A week ago I called you to my home to help put my kitten to rest. You had never heard from me before, but at 8pm you answered my message, and the next day you were at my door. Words cannot express how much it means to me that you were there for us when we needed you. You showed compassion and gentleness not only to my kitten, but also to me and my fiancé as we struggled to come to terms with the illness our precious baby had to face. Thank you so much for being there, and for giving us the support we needed. The kindness you show is truly a gift that many people forget exists, and it can make all the difference in the world. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Wolf and Kelley Reagan, Miami Springs

I cannot tell you what a difference it made for you to come tonight and provide a peaceful and warm transition for Zorro. Zorro was an amazing friend and I did not want our last moments together to be an unpleasant car ride in uncomfortable surroundings. It obviously was a very difficult process for me and he deserved being able to say goodbye in the comfort of my arms in his home.
Your genuine warmth, comfort and soothing demeanor made this very difficult decision as comforting as possible and I thank you for that.
Gratefully,

Brian Adler, Miami

You’re a truly compassionate and wonderful person.
Pia couldn’t have asked for a better person to help her cross over.
It was very hard to see her go but thanks to you she peacefully started to walk over the rainbow.
I’m forever thankful for your help, for coming here in such a short notice and for being so sweet, caring, and loving with my sweet Pia. She was next to me for 15 years and she adopted me within only a few hours after she was born, it was a very hard time in my life but she knew how to make my heart smile.
I’m adding some pics of her when we adopted each other. They told me she was going to die in less than 12 hours but for 15 years we proved that person wrong. One picture is of her when she was healthy and the other one shows how special she made my life with “some messages” she had to share with me.
Thank you for your kindness and thank you for your thoughtful card.
Gracias for bringing Pia home Marie!

Fabby Abel Romey, South Beach

Marie,
I just want to thank you again, considering the situation, the wonderful experience with Travis yesterday. It made so much difference having you come to my home. I have shared this with my friends, letting them know that when the time comes, this truly is the way to do it. Less stress on both of us and so peaceful.

Tricia Barkey, Sunrise

Dear Dr.McInerney,
The hand-written message you sent to us was so very touching; I read it each day, as it gives me comfort. Thank you very much for taking the time to send this beautiful and thoughtful note.
Most of all, thank you for coming to our side, and helping us the Sunday before last. Your efforts made the difference between Charkie passing in terror, and passing in peace. You also enabled us to be at peace, knowing we did the best we could, instead of living the remainder of our lives in guilt, which would have been the case had we taken Charkie in to a regular veterinary visit. He so hated going in, and it terrified him such that he was unsettled for days afterward. You are very kind, and loving, Marie. We wish you blessings and peace this Holiday season.
All our best,

Jay Reed (and Kevin Wong), Fort Lauderdale

Hello Dr. McInerney,
Thank you for coming to my house and providing a painless and peaceful passing for my kitty - and for the condolence card. Thank you for coming at the height of our crazy traffic and being so understanding and compassionate. The work you do has huge value and is of great support to animal lovers like myself who are sometimes faced with awfully difficult decisions and moments.
Mantequilla was my dearest cat and he gave me a lot of love and joy. I have attached a tribute I wrote to him and posted on line, just to share a glimpse of his life.
Thank you again, and a hug to you.

Maria Romero, Miami

Dear Marie, (Dr. Mac),
You were referred to me at a very difficult time on Xmas Eve, and yet from my 1st communication to you, you were compassionate and caring, helping my family feel at ease and unrushed over the following couple of days.
Upon visiting our home, I knew that my decision and the time was right.
You greeted Marley and Chloe in such a way that they were comfortable and most importantly, for Marley, our Golden Retriever family member, not to be anxious.
I cannot express in only a few words, how you helped me through guiding Marley on the way to the Rainbow Bridge, and allowing Chloe, our Lab, to be right there too to comfort Marley with me. I do believe it gave Chloe good closure too.
The extra request I had - returning Marley's ashes to us by New Year's Eve, rounded off your services so perfectly.
Thank you again most sincerely
Barclay, Liz and family. Ciao4now

Dear Dr. Marie,
Thank you - SO MUCH - for being exactly the person you are. The morning I contacted you was filled with dread, gloom, darkness, enormous stress and uncertainty. When you returned my call, it was your genuinely sympathetic voice that assured me of your gentle nature.
Upon meeting you, I could see how much your line of work truly feeds your soul.
I've been crying every day, but this is exactly the state of mind I prefer to be in. The sadness is just a byproduct of my deep reverence for Leilani's perfect innocence and pure love. Her death has re-awakened a deeply spiritual compassion I have for the vulnerability of all living things. You were a big part of that and I'll always be grateful.
Your friend,

Mathew Freeman, Hollywood

Hello,
Thank you for helping us go though one of the hardest things we have had to endure. Your compassion was extraordinary. I hope to take some of the skill you have when I am helping my patient's families as their loved ones are passing to the other side. You are an inspiration - a beautiful soul. This is your calling and we are honored to have had you in our lives.
We will never forget you. Thank you for helping us have peace. I hope to do the same for my patients and their families.

Thank you, Liz RN<

Thank you for the thoughtful and beautiful card. I had been meaning to reach out all week... We miss our old guy terribly but have no doubt it was time to say goodbye and that you were the right person to help us through an incredibly difficult moment. George meant and symbolized so much to us. Our memories bring smiles to our faces daily. He was one of a kind.
Your kind spirit and compassion brought us great comfort. You were wisely chosen for this noble profession.
With deep gratitude,

Grateful for being a shoulder I can cry on. I wanted to call you. You gave me such peace in my heart. You are a compassionate wonderful person. Thank you! I know that Teddy was in the best hands. Thank you Marie... For everything you did for us and our beautiful Maka. You came into our lives in a very difficult time, and gave us your love and compassion when we needed it the most....
There are not enough words to express our gratitude...Thank you for being so special to Maka, for we saw the happiness in his face when he met you. He knew you had an awesome soul; he knew you would take good care of him....You were so delicate helping him to go through his final moments - that meant a lot to us. And even though it will take us time to heal and cope now that we feel the emptiness in the house because he is no longer here to greet us when we come home, it is gratifying knowing he is no longer suffering. Thank you so much for being the way you are and may God bless you for being such an Angel in our lives. I want everyone who goes through a moment like this, to know they are no doubt, in the best hands, not only because of your professionalism but especially because of the love and compassion you gave to our beloved Maka and to us. You certainly are an Angel of Compassion. Thank you for being the way you are and for dedicating your life to the care of animals.

Claudia D’ambrosia, Palmetto Bay

Dear Marie, Thank you so much for being there for us in our time of need... Donner was so lucky to pass peacefully in his favorite spot. The simple words of “thank you” cannot express our gratitude to you for helping us cope and grieve in such a loving and compassionate manner. You are a special and gifted person and deliver a first class service. We appreciate all that you do! We know Donner is at peace. Wishing you a happy holiday season and a new year filled with love, Happiness, peace and health.
All the best always,

Rose Perry, Plantation

Sara Logan, Parkland

Hi Dr. McInerney, Thank you so much for your card! The way you performed the procedure - it was like a beautiful ceremony where Fudge went to sleep and crossed the bridge happy. Thank you so much. We miss him terribly. But I think we did the right thing.

Edgar and Katia Leon, Miami

Thank you so much Marie. Having you be a part of this process was truly a blessing. I’m so glad that our Tinky was in your loving hands. I miss her more than words can say, but I could not have asked for a more beautiful and meaningful transition for my girl. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Sending you lots of warm love and gratitude and may you always be well. If we have friends or family going through this difficult process in the future, we will send them your way.

Maria and Julian Rodriquez, Miami

Marie, I can’t express the amount of gratitude that I have for you and for what you have done for my family. I literally just walked into my dad’s house and began to cry because I immediately expected my little girl to run up to give me kisses. Then I was surprised to open this beautiful card at the perfect moment that you took the time to write. Thank you so much for making her passing as painless as possible for all of us, especially for my beautiful angel Hazel, and thank you for keeping me calm during the process. You are truly a blessing.

Diane Perkins, Cutler Bay

Dear Marie, I wanted to let you know how grateful I am to you for making Buster’s last moments so peaceful and loving. Christy and Buster.

Dr. Mac, You are a compassionate, caring, amazing doctor. Your patients and their families are lucky to have you. Thank you for listening to me and answering all my texts. You made an extremely rough time in our life a good memory of our little Diva. You truly make a difference. Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.

Doug and Tina Moore, Sunrise

Dear Dr. McInerney, Thank you so much for helping Morgan on her journey – and for helping us at this difficult time. Your compassion, energy and beautiful soul are to be admired. Love, Tracey, Laura, Ashley, George and Lola

Tracey Bayer, Coral Gables

Marie...I want to thank you for your professionalism, your compassion, and your attentiveness in making what was undoubtedly one of the most difficult moments in my life bearable. Kalley was more than just a pet to me... she was my most loyal companion and a member of my family. Sadly, I sometimes think the bond between pet and owner becomes overlooked or lost in the daily routine of your profession but it clearly hasn't in your case. Your simply being there with all of us make what could have been a traumatic experience a peaceful one and it's beyond my abilities to express in works how grateful I am for that fact. Whether you realize it or not, you're changing people's lives for the better and that's something very few can honestly claim.
Thank you again.

Chuck Hildebrand, Boynton Beach

Dear Dr. McInerney,
Although I do think of you fondly as Marie, I think you still deserve the title as Dr.
I am sending you this email as I wanted to send you a thank you card but do not have an address. I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate your kindness, tenderness and compassion for me as well as my Ali-Cat by coming to my home to help me with the decision to lay to rest my beautiful Ali.
You are truly one of the autiful, loving and caring people I have ever had the honor of being with in my entire lifetime.
You helped me so much through the process by talking to me, reassuring me that I was doing the right thing, and by first sedating her so she was relaxed and then asleep before her final moments. Holding her was the greatest gesture I could have given her. I know I would not have had the courage to be able to do what had to be done without you.
You are in my heart now as well as Ali and I will never forget you. I know in my heart that you were the answer to my prayers.
I will tell everyone I meet that has a pet that needs your services about how wonderful you are.
Thank you again, ever so much, for helping me through one of the toughest moments of my life. Again, I don't think I could have gone thru it without you
My most heartfelt appreciation. Donna Crumpler, Pompano Beach

Dear Dr. McInerney,
I would like to personally thank you for euthanizing our “Jake” a week ago. I was a veterinary referral surgeon for 35 years and am now retired. However, I have had to euthanize most of my dogs when the time came. They are like our children and while I was away, my wife, Carol, called upon you – she is very emotional when it comes to our dogs and I know it was hard on her. Thankfully, I did not have to do it once again. Carol is still talking about how much compassion you demonstrated. I know firsthand what it is like -after euthanizing almost 100 animals in my practice and crying over 90% of them. I just want to thank you with all of my heart for being there with Carol and Jake.
Sincerely,

Dr. Gregory M. Zolton, Palm City

I want to tell you how grateful my family and I are to your coming out at 10 o’clock at night to put Gabi to rest. It made a very stressful situation so much more peaceful and beautiful and I will sing your praises to whoever will listen. Thank you for being so compassionate, caring, gentle and gracious. Wish there were more people like you. We cannot say thank you enough.

Amanda Ireland, Wellington

Hi Marie,
I want to thank you once more, for everything you did, and did so well. I would, and will, highly recommend you to anyone faced with the challenging circumstances of a sick pet at any stage. If you want, please feel free to use this message and my name for testimonial purposes.
We are so glad we placed our trust in you. Your clinical expertise comes with a gold seal of genuine compassion. Compassionate treatment of the pet - also, of the owners. You helped us be confident in our decision to shorten the terminal struggle our beloved cat had bravely endured. You gently evaluated him, you were caring and candid in answering all our questions, and you discussed pros and cons of all our options, with professionalism and tact. You provided the necessary information, rendered your opinion, and without pressure, left the decision to us. Once we knew what we had to do, you thoroughly explained what to expect, so we could prepare as best as we could. You helped our cat 'return home' with the most peaceful transition possible. And your careful, thoughtful manner greatly eased our distress. We only fully understood how important that was, afterward, right on down to the sympathy card you mailed, with your kind message written inside. Thank you again, for your supportive presence and excellent veterinarian skills. We wish you all the best.
Warmest Regards,

Shannon Burns, Wilton Manors
